SUMMARY:Hydrogen Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Hydrogen Summit 2024 continues for the 2nd year the discussion on the possibilities of production and utilization of Hydrogen\, as well as on its technological and business aspects. From the beginning of 2024 the scenery for the development of the Hydrogen Economy seems to have changed. The great optimism for the achievement of the goals of decarbonization of human activities began to fade\, while the energy transition remains a goal. \nReasons are the slow progress of projects\, the unclear landscape for the required infrastructure\, conflicting opinions\, and statements about the readiness of the technology\, geopolitical developments that have brought new conditions to international trade\, the maintenance of the high cost of hydrogen production and the significant lack of legislative and regulatory framework. \nIn-depth financial and investment analysis reports have already begun to be published by specialized Houses\, while the national strategies of countries that aim to play a leading role in the Green Economy have been completed (and made public). In these reports\, the steps to be taken are analyzed\, the initial forecasts and goals (financial and technological) are evaluated\, the obstacles and risks in the market development towards the Hydrogen Economy are carefully examined\, all the phases of the\ndevelopments are costed and the landscape is clarified for those involved in the development of the market (developers) and investors. \nIt is in this context that the discussion at this year’s conference will be initiated\, so that Greece can also take advantage of the potential of the hydrogen economy\, but also participate with the best conditions in this landscape\, at the European and international level. At the same time\, the country’s advantages in RES\, innovation\, infrastructure and fleet of ships will be highlighted\, in order to acquire a domestic added value towards the Hydrogen Economy and the achievement of the goal of zero greenhouse gas emissions.
