Answering today’s publications, DEPA is announcing that it has no knowledge of any “prosecutor’s investigation for abuse of dominant position” as stated by some electronic and printed media.

DEPA recalls that in 2011 and 2013 that it had achieved significant reductions in the price of natural gas from its suppliers, which are passed on to DEPA customers.

DEPA has been, for months now, in negotiation with the Russian GAZPROM for further reduction in the price of natural gas, which would also be passed on to DEPA customers.

The President and CEO of DEPA, Mr. Harry Sahinis, made the following statement: “DEPA, with the support of the Greek government and particularly the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, continues its growth path, always acting for the benefit of Greek consumers and the interest of our national economy. It is DEPA’s constant pursuit to continue negotiations, within the framework of contractual provisions, in order to create a more competitive and flexible “basket” of natural gas supplies, at the price levels of Western Europe”.
