By finalising this agreement, all relevant conditions are met for ensuring healthy competition in the natural gas market of Greece, which is both a wish and a goal for DEPA. DEPA has been consistently making every effort over the past years to reduce prices for the benefit of all consumers in Greece. It should be noted that all price reductions achieved by DEPA until today have been passed through to end consumers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over the past years, DEPA has been initiating prompt action to accomplish market flexibility in the trans-border trade of natural gas. Since 2014 in particular, DEPA has been committed to bringing dual-stream natural gas capacity in the region of Sidirokastro, with a view to supplying the underground gas storage facility in Chiren, Bulgaria, thus securing supply. Additionally, DEPA has actively participated in the consultations among interested parties in order to speed up procedures and the establishment of a bidirectional trans-border trade between Greece and Bulgaria.
