{"id":21766,"date":"2026-06-12T13:53:34","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T10:53:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.depa.gr\/?p=21766"},"modified":"2026-10-22T13:54:44","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T10:54:44","slug":"atlantic-see-lng-trade-doubles-lng-volumes-from-the-us-through-an-expanded-agreement-with-venture-global","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.depa.gr\/en\/atlantic-see-lng-trade-doubles-lng-volumes-from-the-us-through-an-expanded-agreement-with-venture-global\/","title":{"rendered":"ATLANTIC SEE LNG TRADE Doubles LNG Volumes from the US through an expanded agreement with Venture Global"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>12 June 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>20-year long-term agreement for the supply of 1 million tonnes of LNG per annum from 2030<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Paiania, 12 June 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Atlantic SEE LNG Trade S.A., the joint venture in which <strong>AKTOR Group holds a 60% stake and DEPA Commercial a 40% stake<\/strong>, announces the expansion of its existing long-term <strong>Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA)<\/strong> with Venture Global, a leading U.S. LNG exporter.<\/p>\n<p>Under the agreement, Atlantic SEE LNG Trade doubles the contracted LNG volumes it will purchase from Venture Global, from a minimum of <strong>0.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) to 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA)<\/strong>, equivalent to <strong>1.3 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas<\/strong>, for a period of 20 years commencing in 2030.<\/p>\n<p>This development significantly strengthens the company\u2019s long-term supply strategy and contributes to the establishment of a reliable and diversified supply framework for the markets of Southeast and Central Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Xifaras: \u201cFrom vision to implementation\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ATLANTIC SEE LNG TRADE Chairman and DEPA Commercial Chief Executive Officer Konstantinos Xifaras stated:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expansion of this long-term LNG agreement marks the transition from vision to implementation. By doubling the volumes secured under the agreement, we are strengthening a reliable supply framework capable of responding to the region\u2019s evolving energy needs. This agreement makes a substantial contribution to the diversification of supply sources and the resilience of the European energy system by providing access to additional LNG volumes from the United States.
