Athens, March 7, 2024

The DEPA Commerce Group is making a notable impact at the “Renewable EnergyTech” International Exhibition for Green and Smart Energy, held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center from March 7 to March 9, 2024.

At a modern and welcoming booth, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Group’s diverse activities and investments, as well as those of its subsidiaries, such as Natural Gas – Hellenic Energy Company, in the field of clean energy.

DEPA Commerce is leading the green transition, with a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 750 MW and targeting 1 GW nationwide. The company is also at the forefront of technologies and infrastructure for storing and supplying “renewable” gases such as hydrogen and biomethane.

Investments in Bio-LNG, Green Hydrogen, and Bio-CNG are already underway, benefiting FISIKON, Greece’s only nationwide compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling network, which delivers significant economic and environmental advantages to drivers across the country.

Additionally, exhibition visitors can learn about the company’s major international projects that enhance Greece’s energy security and position the country as a European energy hub. DEPA Commerce plays a key role in the development of strategic infrastructure such as the new Alexandroupolis Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) and the Greece-Bulgaria Interconnector (IGB), both of which bolster supply security in Southeastern Europe.

DEPA Commerce also has a strong presence in the retail electricity market through its subsidiary, Natural Gas – Hellenic Energy Company, offering consumers the most competitive electricity and gas products while systematically investing in the green and digital transition.

DEPA Commerce CEO Konstantinos Xifaras stated:

“Renewable EnergyTech is an excellent opportunity for us to inform the public about DEPA’s major investments and initiatives supporting the green transition, as well as the strategic infrastructure that guarantees the energy adequacy of our country and transforms it into an international gas transport hub at the heart of European energy planning.”

Yannis Mitropoulos, General Manager of Natural Gas – Hellenic Energy Company, added:

“By investing in new technologies, Natural Gas – Hellenic Energy Company, the most historic energy provider in Greece, actively supports the transition to clean energy. With significant initiatives in electromobility, smart energy services, and comprehensive energy solutions, we meet every consumer need at the most competitive prices in the market.”
