{"id":17246,"date":"2023-07-11T17:02:08","date_gmt":"2023-07-11T14:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depa.gr\/?page_id=17246"},"modified":"2025-07-23T17:52:44","modified_gmt":"2025-07-23T14:52:44","slug":"power-supply-trading","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.depa.gr\/en\/power-supply-trading\/","title":{"rendered":"Power Supply &#038; Trading"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>DEPA Commercial<\/strong> is already active in Power Supply &amp; Trading as part of its strategy to transform into an integrated energy company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEPA<\/strong> obtained an electricity supply &amp; trading license from the Regulatory Authority of Greece and participates in the Day Ahead, Intraday and Balancing Markets of the <strong>Hellenic Energy Exchange (HEnEx)<\/strong>. \u00a0At the same time, <strong>DEPA<\/strong> has concluded several <strong>EFET &amp; ISDA agreements<\/strong> with the most important market participants and carries out transactions between Greece and Italy, Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Turkey and in general in the wider region of Southeast Europe. Thus, <strong>DEPA <\/strong>is actively importing and exporting electricity between the Greek Electricity System and its neighboring countries, contributing to the efficient use of the country\u2019s electricity interconnection network, for the ultimate benefit of the Greek economy and consumers.<\/p>\n<p>In order for the company to obtain cross border capacities, <strong>DEPA<\/strong> is registered in the <strong>Joint Allocation Office (JAO)<\/strong> and <strong>Southeast Europe Common Allocation Office (SEECAO)<\/strong>. \u00a0DEPA participates in yearly, monthly, and daily auctions for the allocation of electricity transmission rights of the European Interconnections. At the same time, it is involved in the secondary market of cross border capacities.<\/p>\n<p>DEPA is also registered on the <strong>European Energy Exchange (EEX)<\/strong> to be able to trade power, gas and emissions derivatives and optimize its portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, DEPA operates as an Aggregator (FoSE), having already undertaken the representation of Renewable Energy Source (RES) projects. At the same time, following our investments in the CCGT Power Plant of Alexandroupolis as well as the investments in Renewable Energy Sources, DEPA is stepping forward towards the commercial management of its production in the emerging market of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DEPA Commercial is already active in Power Supply &amp; Trading as part of its strategy to transform into an integrated energy company.
